Week commencing 24th February 2025 - Acorns 25.

Hello and welcome to our blog post.

We hope you enjoy reading about our week at The Acorns - 25.

Our theme this half term is 'Signs of Spring'

Over the next few weeks we will be observing how the season changes our environment and we have lots of fun and exciting things planned for the children.

It has been a busy week.

We have spent lots of time outside.

The children helped Mrs Neve to clear up some of the old fallen leaves from the garden.

They found lots of wonderful bugs and beasts hidden in the wet slimy leaves.

The tough tray had filled with water which gave us a perfect opportunity for some splashing !

We love spending time in our garden.

We enjoyed a few local walks to look for signs that Spring was on its way.

We spotted lots of things on our walks - daffodils, crocuses and snowdrops.

We love visiting the pond and watching the ducks and moorhens splashing around.

The children walked so nicely and had wonderful listening ears.

We received many compliments from passers by and they commented on how lovely it was to see the children out and about in the village.
