Week commencing 27th December 2023 - Acorns 59.
It’s been a fabulous week and we have lots to share with you.
Firstly – a big thank you to everyone who booked in for a parents consultation.
It is so important that we work together to achieve the best possible outcomes for your child during their time at The Acorns.
If you haven’t yet booked in, please speak to Mrs Franks or Mrs Voller who will schedule a telephone consultation for next week.
Thank you for all of the lovely feedback – it really is appreciated.
Christmas has arrived at The Acorns and this week has been jam packed with festive fun.
We completed the snowman that we started last week, adding some finishing touches. His pom pom scarf looks amazing!
We also created a giant Christmas tree to hang from another door in The Acorns.
The children used sticky glue and scrunched up tissue paper to cover the tree shape. It looks wonderful and was a real team effort. Well done Acorns !
We had a special treat when Evie’s mummy came in to play us some music.
She told us about many different type of instruments.
Evie’s mummy plays the Oboe. It was a super shiny instrument and she showed us how she puts it together and played us some beautiful music. We were even treated to a song from Frozen !!
Thank you so much for coming in. We feel super lucky to have been able to listen to you play.
If you have something you would like to share with the children or would like to come in to cook, bake, read or craft then please speak to Mrs Franks.
We made homemade gnocchi for lunch using potatoes, we scooped out the flesh of the potato before mixing it with flour, rolling it out and chopping it up into bitesize pieces.
It was really easy to make and the children were excited to try it at lunch time.
The children made something rather special in the garden with Mrs Robertson.
They collected leaves from around the garden and made the most beautiful wreath. Its hanging in the garden now and looks wonderful.
We had a very special visitor in our garden.
We loved watching it wander around in the garden.
We fed it kale and it chomped on the grass outside.
When we brought it back indoors, it snuggled under the warm radiator to warm up.
Thank you for coning to visit !
We enjoyed lots of garden time this week.
We ran around, made potions and mud cakes, played on the pirate ship and slide.
It was super chilly but we wrapped up warm with gloves and hats.
We hope you have enjoyed reading about our week.
Have a super weekend everyone.
See you next week for more Acorns fun.
Mrs Franks and The Acorns Team.
