Week commencing 4th March 2024 - Acorns 25 & 59 combined.

Bonjour !

It has been a busy week.

We have been learning about France, celebrating World Book Day and have been crafting cards for Mother’s Day.

The sun has been shining and we have enjoyed lots of time in the garden this week at both settings.

It is so lovely to be able to be outside for longer periods of time and to feel the sunshine warming up.

There is still plenty of mud around so wet weathers and wellies are still needed.

The daffodils at Acorns 59 are in full bloom and the garden looks bright and beautiful.

We have enjoyed learning about France – the children have been fascinated by the Eiffel Tower and have built their own towers with lego, duplo, magnets and soft play blocks.

"The tower has got four legs to stand on."

"My Daddy goes to Paris."

"Its very very very very tall up to the sky."

At Acorns 59 we used paint sticks and stencils to paint the tower – the pictures are so beautiful and show the children’s individual creativity.

We celebrated World Book Day and had lots of fun dressing up.

We enjoyed reading our favourite stories together.

Some children came dressed up and others chose to wear a costume from our dressing up boxes.

Don’t they all look fabulous.

The children at Acorns 25 made some stained glass windows after learning about Notre-Dame.

The children took some time this week to create something special for Mummy.

We hope that all of our mums have a lovely day on Sunday. Happy Mothers Day !

We waved Goodbye to Mrs Voller this week as she leaves Acorns after 4 years.

We couldn't say goodbye without a few special gifts to say Thank you for everything she has done for The Acorns during her time here.

We will be sad to see her go but wish her all the very best in her new position.

Here are a few more photos from our week ...

Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Thank you for reading our blog.

We hope you have enjoyed a peak into our week at The Acorns.

Next week we will be travelling to Greece.
